Henry Ford Museum:
The Dymaxion House

A recreated post-WWII aircraft manufacturing plant is the dramatic setting for the only known prototype of Buckminster Fuller's radical Dymaxion House. Graphic posters, period bulletin boards, newsreel footage, and testing stations transport visitors back to the day in 1946 when Beech Aircraft workers and their families were invited to evaluate this unique solution to affordable housing.
