The Reach National Monument Heritage and Visitor Center
Powerful forces—vast lava flows, Ice Age floods, the Columbia River, and the Hanford Engineer Works—have transformed the Columbia Basin over millions of years. The Reach represents the latest powerful force to “reach” the landscape. It is a dynamic partnership of federal and local governments and community groups working to create a gateway for the Hanford Reach National Monument and a gathering place for the Tri-Cities community. Hilferty is designing experiences that interpret the natural and cultural history of the Columbia Basin.
