our story

We are a unique and accomplished design firm based in Athens, Ohio. Our offices include modern design studios, conference facilities, materials and research libraries, and a model shop. Communications technology keeps us in close touch with you and project members anywhere. Since 1971 we have brought well over a hundred museums, interpretive and visitor centers to life in fields as varied as technology, science, natural history, sports, cultural history, and Native American heritage. Each project is characterized by Hilferty's hallmark meticulous workmanship, vivid communication and faithfulness to a shared client-designer vision.
