Weedon Island Preserve Natural and Cultural Education Center

Weedon Island Preserve, on the shores of Tampa Bay, is home to an exciting nature and cultural center where visitors immerse themselves in the lifeways of the long vanished Weedon Island people. Visitors explore interconnections between intertidal, mangrove, seagrass, and upland habitats, and pull out sections of a shell midden to see how Weeden peoples made use of natural resources here.
